When I first heard that the 2018 Prospect Development conference was going to be held in Pittsburgh, my first thought was...."Well, what's in Pittsburgh??" It didn't help that my brain kept thinking I was actually going to Philadelphia...two P cities in the same state. Very confusing. ;) For the life of me, I couldn't think of what was special about the city. And honestly as I got closer to the conference, I just forgot to look up any information (what a bad researcher I am ;) ).

I arrived in the city on a Wednesday and was able to share a cab with some friends who were also attending the conference. We arrived downtown, checked into the conference and then went to our respective hotels before joining up again for dinner and a walk around the city.

In reality, we stay in a very small area (downtown). It was full of lots of brick, close angles, and Korean, Greek, and Mexican restaurants, that existed in narrow spaces, side-by-side. Some of my colleagues weren't impressed and even called the city ugly. I liked it. It was it's own concrete jungle.

The majority of my time in Pittsburgh was spent in a hotel room, in conference sessions or in the small mile radius surrounding both. But I enjoyed the small snipet of city life I experienced, along with hotel coffee, views from my 8th story hotel room, and new friends.

Ah Pittsburgh...till we meet again.

XOXO

KS

As usual, you find the best in your surroundings!
