Family Reunion

I attended a 4 hour family reunion a week or so ago, and I'm still basking in the glow of the day.
This was for my mother's side, which is huge. I saw cousins that I hadn't seen in years or met before. Some introductions were a little awkward but most were warm. We were all there for a reason, after all. To connect. To be around each other. To remember.

As with any family, there have and will be disagreements. That's to be expected with any large group of people. But thankfully those assembled were able to set any problems aside for a sunny afternoon and indulge in delicious food and snacks and family. And everyone, at least once, asked someone they were talking to "Now...how are we related again?" :)
Forever grateful for my family - near and far.
XOXO
Kate
